Milwaukee Springs up!

Spring is in the air and it's the perfect time of year to take advantage of Milwaukee's prime lakefront location.

Enjoy a leisurely boat cruise in the scenic Milwaukee harbor. Stroll along the RiverWalk, a lovely pedestrian promenade connecting the city's waterfront neighborhoods. Dine at a colorful, riverside bistro or shop at any number of hip Milwaukee art galleries or specialty boutiques.

Root, root, root for the home team! The Milwaukee Brewers are back in action at Miller Park, the only stadium in North America featuring a fan-shaped convertible roof. Sit along the Menomonee River while enjoying one of our most treasured baseball traditions, tailgating.

be sure to visit Columbia, South Carolina

I can't say enough about Columbia South Carolina. It's just such a great place to visit, it's affordable, the people are super friendly, and there's so much to do in the area! When my family was touring the East Coast, we stayed a couple of days in Columbia, and we all loved it. The Riverbanks Zoo & Botanical Garden is fun for the whole family. For travelers looking for arts & culture in South Carolina, you'll find ballet, musicals, and other theatrical performances happening all the time.

A night out in Long Beach

Long Beach sure is a happening place, especially once the sun goes down! If you're looking for some nighttime fun in Long Beach, check out the Basement Ultra Lounge - Long Beach's only underground lounge! The historic award-winning building was built in 1928, and they've decorated it in a delightful mix of past and present. Featuring a martini bar and live entertainment, make sure you check out the Basement Ultra Lounge!

Another favorite of mine is Laugh is Hope Comedy Club - the premiere Comedy club in Long Beach Ca. Expect to see big name headliners from HBO, Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing, and more.

Windsurfing & canoeing in Corpus Christi

Windsurfing, one of my favorite things to do in Corpus Christi! Corpus Christi boasts some serious winds, making it a great place for sailing, wind surfing, and anything else you might like to do that involves wind. The last time I was down that way was a few years ago, but I'm heading to Texas for a business conference next week, with a free weekend in Corpus Christi, so I'm sure to do some wind surfing while I'm there. I also like canoeing, and a great place to stay in Corpus Christi if you need convenient canoe rentals is All On Beach Rental - they have some great condos right on the beach with nice views of the Lexington & the Corpus Christi skyline.
